In this episode, we sit down and talk with my bodybuilding coach, Ryan Zeisloft. Ryan has been my coach for the last 4 months and before he was my coach we were working out in the same CrossFit Gym here in Melbourne, Florida.
We get into Ryan's story about what first got him into Bodybuilding, how it was all a challenge to do something one of his friends said was the "hardest thing he has ever done" Ryan loving the challenge was already hooked and became a multi-year first place Men's Classic Bodybuilding Champ.
Ryan talks about what it takes as an athlete to succeed and how many people think its the cliche stuff out there what it really takes to succeed is patience, and to not overthink things too much, just stick to the plan and you'll see the results down the line.
We also talk about what he's learned as a coach and what we both see as a problem in the fitness industry when people focus too much on the methods of how to lose fat or gain muscle when they should be focusing on the principles! If you learn the principles there are hundreds of ways to facilitate the same outcome.
Ryan tells us his new physical endeavor this year is CrossFit and how that journey is compared to his Bodybuilding and Weightlifting days. On top of this, we tackle the use of steroids in both spaces and how they can affect men and women in a positive way and negative way if overused.
And lastly, we get into some practical things all of us can start to focus on now during COVID-19 to Come out of this situation in a better place than where we started. Start to build the skill set of weighing your foods, knowing what certain portions sizes are, and learning new food recipes!
Overall I think there is a ton of value in this conversation between Ryan and myself and I hope you all enjoy it!
P.S.: If you are someone who's ready to take back your body, I am getting ready to roll out my new 90-day program! Below will be the application to get on a 20 min call to see if you're the right fit!
