Byron Scott

Today's guest is a 3X NBA Champion, the 2007-2008 NBA Coach of The Year, author, speaker, and entrepreneur. In 1983, Scott was drafted 4th overall in the NBA Draft by the San Diego Clippers. That same year, he was traded to the LA Lakers where he played 10 consecutive years. He played for the Indiana Pacers, Vancouver Grizzlies, and also played in Greece. He returned from overseas and began his coaching career in the NBA in 1998 as an assistant with the Sacramento Kings. He later coached the New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and ending his coaching career back in LA with the Lakers, where he coached Kobe Bryant his last two seasons in the NBA.

Byron Scott is a wonderful guest who shares his story of growing up just outside of The Forum in Inglewood, California where he would watch The Lakers play and dream of playing for them one day. He shares stories of his time with Pat Riley as his coach, his precious memories with the late Kobe Bryant, and how he and his workout partner of 17 years wrote a book together. Byron shares with us that hard work doesn't guarantee us anything; but without it, you won't attain anything. Sit back, relax, and get your pens ready because this is Write it Down.
